1.0 GENERAL CODE OF CONDUCT E-Fedding is a game that requires interaction with other human beings. We all have different personalities, we all have different beliefs, and we are all going to respond to things differently. It's important, then, to follow a few rules on your own conduct in and out of the board when interacting with PWE members. 1.1 -- Please be respectful to all. We've all heard the "golden rule" adage over the last five thousand years, right? Don't be an asshole. I know this is easier said than done, but keep in mind that people of all kinds, all mentalities exist in this fed. Treat others how you would want to be treated. Not sure about something, need to address something with another member but you're not sure how to? Ask for a mediation. CONFLICT is a part of life and we want everyone to feel welcome.
1.1.2 -- That being said above, we are all human. We all say stupid shit that we regret at times. Something happens, I will put the two of you into a chat with myself and we will work it out. Regardless, always think the best intentions are being sought. People have shit days, shit lives, and attacking each other is not going to help us all in the end. 1.2 -- Racist bigotry, transphobic statement, white supremacy, rape, pedophilia, disability shaming, homophobic statements...literally none of that is acceptable here, whether it is in or out of character. While some subjects may be part of a characters' background, allusion to rather than description of is always the better way to go. It is absolutely not allowed and you will be warned, if not outright banned from the forum or the Discord server. If you're not sure that what your writing is acceptable, ask yourself "Is this something I would want to hear if I was the person?", or ask us.
1.3 -- PWE is a competitive roleplay e-fed. In it, the staff understands that the competitive piece can be a grueling process for some of us, especially if we lose. My promise to you is that I will be unbiased, and I will score every roleplay to the best of my ability. You will always receive a "keep doing" statement in your feedback, and the feedback you receive will also include constructive criticism based on what you did, not what the staff wanted to see. Our goal is to make sure everyone is able to grow here and we want to make sure you feel respected as a member and that your contribution isn't just another brick in the wall. If feedback is requested, we will get it back to you in a timely manner (usually less than 24 hours).
1.4 -- We understand if you're nervous about interacting with a lot of people at the same time. But for your benefit, joining in within the community and participating makes everyone feel more comfortable. When available, please consider joining our Discord server.
1.5 -- OPEN DOOR POLICY. Transparency is key. If we have it wrong, let us know. If you don't like the way your character is being portrayed, we can discuss. We will discuss storylines and direction with you.
2.0 CHARACTERS & CONTENT 2.1 -- All characters must be created characters. There are no exceptions to this rule. If your character is an instant rip-off of their picbase as well? No. You wanna play a knock off? Go to another fed. That being said, this means no one that has existed in real life. There are staff members on the roster page for you to use if you need to.
2.2 -- As previously iterated above, racist bigotry, transphobic statements, white supremacy, rape, pedophilia, homophobic statements...literally none of that is acceptable here. While some subjects may be a part of a characters' background, allusion to rather than description of is always the better way to go. Absolutely under no circumstance will it be accepted in character unless it is an inherent part of the character's culture. We expect you to be aware and sensitive to the culture itself before portraying that character. I'm not interested in reading racial slurs, regardless of your character's culture, and it will count against you.
2.3 -- Language isn't an issue here. Although, make sure you're using your language effectively rather than just to say cunt every three seconds.
2.4 -- Absolutely no depiction of sexual acts if accepted, even in Character Development roleplays. You want to write your character getting a blowjob? This isn't the place for you. Shock value will not add to your character's interest, and it also goes against the Proboards agreements. I'm not interested in the site getting shut down because you got a writing boner. Allusion to, lead ins, whatever, fine. The actual act? Nah, gtfo.
2.5 -- REALISM is an expectation. And by that, we mean that you're not supernatural characters in disguise. No vampires/wolfcubs here.
2.6 -- PAY ATTENTION to your characters and storylines through shows. This is not a fed where you can just post the latest and greatest formula of promotional material to build a winning roleplay every time. The more you interact, the more you show you're paying attention, the more you'll see yourself grow as a character. That being said, your characters will be involved in storylines that include attacks or specific moments to build a feud, orchestrated by staff and staff only. This will help shape how the admin is seeing your character and your character's potential. Remember that wins/losses are not the only indicator. If you have an idea or want a specific spot involved, contact both the member and staff in a quick DM to get approval.
2.7 -- We promise to try and look/include what is going on in your character's other feds if they are not exclusive to PWE. We recognize that sometimes we will miss things but please point out specific things you want noted. Intercompany championships are recognized, but not fought for in PWE.
2.8 -- When writing segments, please ensure that all members of the segment are aware and included in order to ensure that handlers can interact with one another and consent to specific events. Please keep an open mind in this area -- if an attack is proposed, absolutely ensure that all members of the segment are engaged and in a storyline with you.
3.0 ROLEPLAYS 3.1* -- PWE is on a biweekly show rotation. Roleplay limits and word counts are posted here, as well as deadlines. They will be on the card for specific deadlines. ROLEPLAY DEADLINES MAIN EVENT ROLEPLAYS: 1 (ONE) ROLEPLAY @ 5,000 WORDS MAX MID-CARD ROLEPLAYS: 1 (ONE) ROLEPLAY @ 3,500 to 5,000 WORDS MAX OPENING CARD ROLEPLAYS: 1 (ONE) ROLEPLAY @ 2,000 WORDS MAX
3.2 -- All bookings will be made by OPT OUT Threads will be posted immediately after the roleplaying deadlines. They will stay open until the show goes up. You will have 24 HOURS before the card goes up to remove yourself from the opt-in by contacting staff. Otherwise, your match will go up and you will not be removed from the show. We understand that sometimes, a loss hits you harder and you might need a break. Our suggestion is to take a few days before you roleplay, but if you're absolutely done, please contact.
3.3* -- If you no show without contacting staff, you will be continued to be booked until you contact the fedheads. If you don't, then we'll use you as enhancement talent.
3.4 -- THERE IS A HARD DEADLINE OF 15 (FIFTEEN) MINUTES TO EDIT YOUR ROLEPLAY. FAILURE TO MEET THIS WILL RESULT IN YOUR ROLEPLAY BEING DISQUALIFIED.
3.5 -- Your roleplay is meant to be a cold or blind roleplay. You may not respond to anything your opponent said within the current roleplay cycle. This is an effort for fairness for all included.
3.6 -- As posted in announcements on Discord on November 9th, 2021, if you go over the limit for the roleplay, it is a loss of 1 point on structure per 100 words over.
3.6 -- There is a 250 word limit overhang that allows for people to tighten up their endings. Please do not abuse this privilege.
4.0 ROLEPLAY JUDGING CRITERIA4.1 -- Roleplays are judged as an total point basis. 4.2 -- QUALITY, not quantity. If you max, cool. If you don't max? Cool. Your score will go down if it's too long and convoluted. If you repeat yourself for filler, if you just add bullshit to add info, we can tell.
4.3 -- You need to adhere to what you’ve put in your statistics about your character’s disposition. Everyone has shades of grey, and there needs to be organic material added in there. If your character wants to take a super serious outlook on their super serious match, that makes sense. But your character being in a Lawful Good disposition and then turning around and calling everyone in the world a “cunt” and wanting to burn the world down doesn’t make sense.
4.4 -- You are stuck in your alignment for at least a PPV Cycle.
STORYTELLING (20 POINTS) The bulk of e-fedding is not always on “how well can you shoot on someone else”, but more so on the story that is being built. Characters ebb and flow, and sometimes, it’s not just about the match completely, although what is happening around them should affect your character. Tell us about your character. You're telling us a story and we want to know that story, not just how well you can cut a promo. Emotions, thoughts, motivations, lives -- these are all central to the human being you have built. We want to know your character intimately -- the more we know, the better we create ideas and stories.
AWARENESS (15 POINTS) Show us that you're paying attention to your storyline, that you're reading the shows and that you know what's happening in the entirety of the company. There should be a combination of this in your character development and also in your promotional material. Alignment matters here, and you shouldn’t be doing something out of the bounds of the character you have created and the choice of the alignment you used. Use everything to your advantage. Results. Twitter. Other people’s roleplays. We’re not saying that you have to spend every waking moment reading things, but take the time to understand what’s going on outside your bubble.
ARGUMENT (PROMOTIONAL CONTENT) (15 POINTS) Low-hanging fruit is really easy to hit in e-fedding, but it's also the one thing that can turn your roleplay from great to shit. We care about your logical arguments here that are supported by facts. Why are you going to win this match? Use as much content as you can to argue why you're going to come out on top; their bio, their stats, their previous material -- all of it is welcome here.
ENTERTAINMENT (5 POINTS) People aren't always entertained by the same things. As long as you're not writing a dissertation here, or you're not just sitting in front of a camera shooting on your opponent, you should be fine here.
STRUCTURE (10 POINTS) Does your roleplay flow? Does it make sense? No one is perfect with grammar, but as long as the flow is not interrupted, you'll probably not have a problem here. However, make sure you're not making typos, that you paid attention to details such as names and information. If there's a significant amount of typos, you'll lose points here.
SEGMENTS (1 POINT)* In order to increase segment participation, you can earn an optional 1 POINT that will be applied to your score.
Additionally, please make sure that you do not go over the roleplay limit. You will lose a point per hundred words over.
